Texel Wool Roving - Hand Dyed Fibre for Spinning 100g - Krakatoa
Texel Wool Roving - Hand Dyed Fibre for Spinning 100g - Krakatoa
100g of Texel wool, hand painted in the colourway 'Krakatoa'.
Texel is a medium grade wool from sheep that are normally used for meat. Because of this, it is relatively unused in the yarn-making industry. It is a joy to spin and knit with, with a fuzzy, springy quality. It is similar to down wools, but a bit softer and with slightly less spring.
Suitable for a range of uses, I find it comfortable enough to wear next to the skin. It is an excellent option for nylon-free socks. Felts moderately easily.
Please allow for subtle differences in colour between screens.
