Dorset Horn is a medium grade wool with good crimp and averaging between 28-34 microns. It is considered a Heritage breed, with breed numbers slowly increasing in the UK. One of the ways to help this threatened breed is by using it for crafting! It is a joy to spin and knit with, with a fuzzy, springy quality.
Suitable for a range of uses, you may find it comfortable enough to wear next to the skin. It is an excellent option for nylon-free socks. Felts moderately easily.
